MarketVolume Chart Help

As a rule a browser should always pick up the newest chart version. Yet, some browser may keep the old version in the browsers cash memory. It's recommended time on time to refresh the browsers cash memory to be sure you are using the latest chart version. To do it simply follow the steps:

1. Please close all browsers, and open a new one.
2. After you logged into the members' section, press Ctrl+F5 to refresh cash memory of the browser
3. Open a new chart which supposed to be latest available version.

New charts

At the current moment our charts are updated once a minute. For example, the 9:30 bar covers a period from 9:30:00 until 9:30:59 and we update our data after the bar completion.

Staring from tomorrow (July 24, 2008) we will have new updated chart version installed on our main server.

Important: In order to properly load new chart version, some web browsers may require you to refresh cache memory on your computer (use the Ctr-F5 button before and after login).

The implemented update will allow having 1-day and 2-hour chart periods to be updated every 30 seconds. On the 1-day and 2-hour chart periods 1 bar = 1 minute and we believe that it is essential to have chart updates as often as possible for these view periods. 5-day, 10-day, 15-day and higher timeframe charts will be updated once a minute after bar completion (the same as before).

E-mini charts will stay unchanged and, as before, they will be updated once a minute. Yet, we are working on having the 1-day and 2-hour view periods on these charts updated twice a minute as well.

Development Server

Our development server is located at http://www2.marketvolume.com. On this server, you may see the charts that are still in the process of the development and are not available on the main (www.marketvolume.com) server yet. Our subscribers may log into the MV members' area on the development server in the same way you log into the MV members' area on the main web site.

Keep in mind that as a result of a development on this server you may see gaps in the index data and have interruptions in the service. We use this server for development only. At the same time you will not be able to save any chart style or drawing on charts from this server.

In case of the main and backup servers failure we stop any development on our development server. In such case http://www2.marketvolume.com could be used as alternative way of accessing our chart and other services.

30-sec Chart Update

At the current moment our charts are updated once a minute. For example, the 9:30 bar covers a period from 9:30:00 until 9:30:59 and we update our data after the bar is completed. We do not provide streaming data simply because all our indicators including volume have to be calculated. Nobody (except us) provides volume for indexes and exchanges and this small delay is a price for complex calculation in real time.

Our developers started to implement the system that allows having 1-day and 2-hour chart periods to be updated every 30 seconds. We are on the final stage of this development and we plan to completely switch twice a minute updated charts within the next two weeks.
